    Default Censorship

Does BlueHost censorship the postings to keep people from knowing what is going on at bluehost.com?

I was just wanting to know, because I am currently on a host that has started censoring post to keep people in the dark.

This is a user-to-user help forum. It's not run by Bluehost. The moderators are not BH employees.

Threads that consist of rants, and are not concerned with getting questions answered, will be locked or deleted entirely.

No, not really. We do try to maintain good relationships with the BH folks, some of whom post in here from time to time. We can sometimes contact them directly for help with a particular problem, or to get information about what's going on. So, it's not truly an arms' length relationship, but BH doesn't run the forums, either. More of a partnership than anything else.

If anything BlueHost is more open about what is going on than many of the other hosting providers as the blog attached to the BlueHost home page often discusses the problems and why they happened and what they are trying to do to ensure they don't happen again.

That's good that they take the time to explain what's happening and why.
