Default Help please! Hotlink Protection syntax error

    Hi all,

I have done a search and cannot locate an answer for this.

I am trying to activate HotLink Protection and keep getting this error.

"Syntax error line 6 of home/username/public_html/.htaccess (then a long string of numbers and letters that change each time I enable and disable)

    Rewrite Rule: bad flag delimiter"

When I view the .htaccess file in code view line 6 is blank.

Should something be in line 6? If so, what? I apologize I am not too savy in this area.

How are you adding the hotlink protection, are you trying to code it yourself or are you using the option in cPanel to add hotlink protection to the .htaccess file for you?
