Default How to have domain.com in my domain

How can I have a subdomain appear to be it's own domain in my domain?

    Example:

www.example.com is the main site, and the subdomain www.example.com/subdomain can be set to be www.subdomain.com even though it's a sub domain?

You can't, as far as I know. It's going to appear as subdomain.example.com. If you want a completely different domain name, you need to register it, pay the $10 for the name (BH's price per year), then set it up as an addon domain on your existing account (not as a subdomain).
