    Default phpFreeNews login problem

My site currently integrates phpFreeNews. I use it as a simple interface for adding news events to my site rather than the phpmyadmin here on bluehost. Up until just a moment ago I had a phpFreeNews username and password that let me log in and add articles. Now it does not. The info on the phpFreeNews site says that an upgrade to the host site version of MySql or PHP could cause this and suggested that "In the root of your phpfn structure you should find the RewritePassword.php file (download the latest version if not). This will allow you to reset your Admin password. The username you key in is your MySql username (from your config file), and if valid, your Admin account's password will be reset to you MySql password (from your config file)." Ok - that's greek to me. Any ideas if this indeed caused the password problem and if so, where I find this file so I can change the coding? (And yes, the password is stored on my Mac and was entered correctly.)

This is what the error log reports:
[Thu Dec 13 22:14:22 2007] [error] [client 12.184.217.211] Invalid method in request \\x16\\x03\\x01

Is this an Apache error and how can I fix it?
