Default What does "verified by Geotrust" mean?

and what are the implications for my website, email, forums, etc? I do not have any money passing through my website now. Still, a site that I use for email does not do anything with money, yet they still have this logo on their site.

It's just an organization that offers SSL certificates, so an email site that uses encryption for the userID and password might have an SSL cert from Geotrust.

Thanks! So if people see this on your site what are they likely to think? Does it make email more secure? financial transactions more secure?

A security certificate attached to a web page ensures that the details filled out in any form on that page are encrypted before being sent to the server. The server then decrypts it to process it so any processing on the server and beyond requires other security measures.
