    Default Magento and bluehost

    this is the message I get when trying to install Magento.

    But ones say the bluehost can run it. So what am I doing wrong.....?

    Default never mind

    Never mind,
    I went to Software Services in CPanel and upgraded the PhP and all is well.

    Go into your cPanel > Software/Services > PHP Config and set your PHP to use version 5. Then try installing again. If it still doesn't work, you'll need to find the values in php.ini that need to be changed in order to enable those extensions, if possible.

    I tried installing Magento and got the same error. I will try upgrading the php, but my question is, will upgrading the php make any of the other parts of my website not work? I have mambo installed as my cms. Would upgrading to a newer php have any effect on this? Thanks.

    why not use simplescripts? it is easy and quick! also for upgrades

    I used SimpleScripts to load it and I get a error page listing Demo error. I have installed, uninstalled, etc and only get the error.

    What is the direct email help address to bluehost? Maybe they can talk me through this......

    Try Live Chat - big blue button on the main bluehost.com page. I don't think there's a working email address for support.
