Thread: Website Broken Pictures and Weird Letters.

  1. #1

Default Website Broken Pictures and Weird Letters.

On my website, all the pictures are broken (little x's show) and strange letters are appearing. (a's with weird squiggles and f's)
Even on my forum, all the pictures are broken.
I made a subdomain the other day and the same thing was happening on my subdomain.

Could someone help me? All my members are complaining about it.

    My website is www.fullcombo.com.

(the MP3 and Translation pages have the strange letters at the top, the rest had them, but somehow I was able to remove them, but whenever I edit it, they come back, the rest have the broken pictures.)

Out of interest... have you added any anti-hotlinking security to the site recently? This looks like something that happened to me when someone was hotlinking an image of mine. I used the cPanel option and it seemed to mess up my site. Just an idea, like.

Very simple, either the file paths to your images are not correct, or as tom.bcn said, if you enabled hot link protection, you have to include your domain as the allowable site to access images.

As for the funny A's etc, I looked at your source code, What it the function A() for. It has a load of ''document.title = '.¸.·´¯`·.¸.·´¯`·.¸.·´¯`·'' lines in it? It's over writing to the title tag in your head tags.

The file paths look correct, cause you can pull the images up via the HTML.

I think this is a "hotlink" problem. In cPanel Turn off your hotlink protection, and check the site again. :)

I had a similar prob a while back, after up-dating pages.
The answer was to upload the images to public html folder
all over again... Tedious, but it worked.

I have a similar problem, but only with some images, not all.

I have a NetCam that sends an image every minute. Some are seen partially.

The problem is that I cannot load them again

Looks like you fixed it! What was the problem?
