Looking for software or application

My site is for a Marine Corps veterans group http://www.mclomaha.org. I am looking for a application or software that will allow the members of my group to be able to have there own little page. Something like a networking or socializing site, but very, very basic.

I envision a page that has a list of member names. A person would be able to click on one of those names and they would then get a page of information for that person. I want something that will give the persons name, where they were stationed, a picture or two and a couple of paragraphs of their time in the Marines and some contact information. I'm not looking for anything to complicated. Most of these Marines are Seniors, and they really don't need all of the widgets and extras of some of the contact apps that I've looked have.

What I described is something that I could probable create on my own, but what I really want is something that will allow me to administrate this on the back end. I'll only have about a 100 members, but it could still be a chore to add/remove pages. I would be adding the content myself. As I mentioned earlier, my members are Seniors, and they would be more interested in viewing the info, not updating it. I would like to have an admin page that will allow me to click on a users name, add content, or disable that user from being seen, etc....

This is meant to be a way for other Marines who are looking for someone they knew to get contact information, or for others in the group to learn more about their fellow Marines.

You're basically looking for a very small, simple Content Management System (CMS). See these discussions here and here. As most people recommend on that page, Wordpress could be a great, simple solution if you configure it correctly.

Joomla would be another app that would work, but it's much more advanced and harder to use than Wordpress.
