Thumbs down Moving hosting to bluehost, but keep emails at the old host...

    Hi guys,

I hope I can get a good working solution here as yahoo didnt seem to be of much help.

Right now I have a website ( call it www.abc.com ) hosted with yahoo, their emails and other services work fine and we dont want to move those to anywhere.
So I registered a new account bluehost and this account is also for www.abc.com, although the site ( domain/hosting ) is still with yahoo.
I realised after registering on bluehost that if I change NameServers in yahoo then I lose ALL their services and they offered no other solution to have just the hosting moved.

Is there any simple solution for this? Something to do with CName or A records? ( I dont know much about those ).
Or would I have to register a new domain on bluehost and just redirect from the yahoo domain to this one?

Appreciate any help that I can get!

    Cheers,

    Nrupesh

You will have to ask Yahoo if they will let you setup a relay so that you can send emails thru Yahoo mail servers.

The only part of the domain setup that BlueHost give the ability to update is the MX record to point your emails to somewhere else.

If the domains are registered elsewhere then you might have better control. You'd need to ask BlueHost support about how you might be able to configure the CName and/or A record appropriately.

Yep thats wht I did, I asked them the A RECORD Details and I'll try to set it up on yahoo servers so the site is forwarded to BH but other stuff stays there.

If I change the A RECORD do I need to change CNAME also?
