Hi all,
I have suddenly noticed a 50 MB upload limit for this month. It used to be I could upload over 300 MB at one time.
Any idea why this would happen?
Thanks,
Avantisu

I'll chime in here.
I had a problem a few weeks ago with the same issue. I needed to upload a 600 meg zip file, and my FTP was unable to complete the task. Tried several times too. Finally I split up the file into 60-80 meg files and was successful.
I did contact BH via live chat- they said that there should be no problem uploading a large file.
Anyway, maybe my ISP? (comcast)
I just tried uploading a 750MB zip and it worked no problem, although the upload speeds are either capped around 650KB or the network is over saturated.
Well, 100KB works out to be close to 1 megabit per second (8 bits per byte, plus some overhead), which ain't bad for an upload speed. That's probably all they're promising, anyway.
Just for reference, I use Comcast (about my only choice) and I get 2.6 MBps download speed and my upload is clearly capped at around 122 KBps.
In fact, when running a speed test, you can see Comcast's bogus "PowerBoost" capping, as I like to call it, at work. At first my upload speed is about 225 KBps but then suddenly it flatlines to around 122. Yay!![]()
