Trac and Mercurial

Hi i want to try to install trac and mercurial, on my account under a subdomain. (eg.. trac.mysite.com and hg.mysite.com) and be able to use the mercurial setup with the trac setup. I found this (http://gttools.com/?page_id=12) but that will install these services in the root directory of my system. I am wondering how i should change the instructions to get them to work with subdomains.

Even if that isn't possible even working instruction for a root directory trac and hg systems would be nice, these currently fail at various makes, and at all the "python ex_setup.py" points
