After my research about the best options for blogging and magazine software, I have decided to use Wordpress for blogging and Joomla for magazine. The project will start in two phases, first with a blog and later with a magazine.

Would like to have the advise of some expert about this.
1. From what I understand, the best way for doing this is to create a subdomain www.blog.mydomain.com and install Wordpress
2. Install Joomla in the main domain www.mydomain.com
3. During the first phase of blog publishing, link www.mydomain.com as the principal address to www.blog.mydomain.com and when the magazine is ready to be published (6 months after), switch this setting
