    Default Ubuntu + FTP = ?

I can't get the Unlimited FTP to work. I'm using Hardy Heron, my Java plugin is enabled (according to about: plugins). In the upper left corner, above where the Java part would be, it says:

    Error Java Disabled!

To enable Java in Netscape 6:

    - Go to Edit - Preferences
    - Click on Advanced
    - Check "Enable Java"
    - Reload this page

But I'm using Firefox and Java is enabled. I'm fairly new at all this Linux and website stuff, so it's very possible that this is a very simple problem with an obvious solution. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Using the FTP on your computer will probably work a lot easier than trying to get the Java one on the hosting to work.

That did it. I had to install gFTP but it totally works. Thanks.

I've never gotten the Java one to work, even using plain vanilla WinXP! A standalone FTP client program is certainly the way to go, no matter what OS or browser you're using.
