Question Unable to access Webmail on Mac.

Hello everyone, I'm new to Bluehost and was curious if any other mac users out there have had issues setting up and accessing email accounts using webmail. I've been searching through posts and haven't come across anything exactly like this yet. I am able to create new accounts but when I attempt to access them via webmail I receive the following message:

"Firefox (3.0.5) can't establish a connection to the server at login.bluehost.com:2095."

This same message is also true when using Safari (3.2.1). I've attempted disabling add-ons and plugins with no luck. I've also checked my Cookies and they are enabled in both browsers.

One last thing, when I access the Configure Mail Client page I see no options for configuring mail accounts with the Mac Mail.app, only the Windows clients.

This seems a little strange, just wondering if anyone out there can help.

    Thanks,
    Jason

That's a very strange address to which it's trying to connect. How are you trying to access webmail? Did you just create your domain? (If so, you might have to wait a day or two before some things will operate properly.)

The automatic email client configuration stuff is wildly out-of-date. You'll notice that only Outlook Express and Outlook 2000 are available. No Outlook 2002 (XP), 2003, or 2007, and no other clients. The tutorials, however, contain better info: http://tutorials.bluehost.com/ (choose Video Tutorials, Mail Programs).

    Default Hey...

...thanks for the response. Yes I just recently opened my account. I was thinking that might be a factor. I'm using the cpanel email account menus right from inside the browsers. I can create, just not access. I'll check out the tutorials too, thanks for the link.

I have yet to attempt a mail.app setup but I may wait a day or two and try accessing them from Windows.

    thanks again,
    Jason
