Default how do I switch domains from one place to another

Okay, this might be a dumb question, but using my regular "luciddreamgirl" account I just bought one new domain and transferred another over from a different hosting company.

... The only problem is, I do NOT want either of these domains to point toward my luciddreamgirl site and right now that seems like my only option. Either they're parked domains that point toward luciddreamgirl.com or they're a sub-domain of that site.

But I would like to have them be their own stand-alone sites -- how do I make that happen?

    Pretty please and thank you!

If I understand you correctly, and honestly, I'm not sure I do, you can't change a domain name like you change a phone number. Hello.com will always be hello.com no matter where you point the domain.

You can park unused domains or forward them to wherever you like. Or have dummy name servers pointing somewhere which will result in a DNS error.

You have 3 domains. What exactly do you want to do with each of them?

Make them "addon" domains. To the outside world, they will appear to be completely independent and separate from your primary domain. Only you (and BH) know that they are hosted under the same account, in a subdirectory of public_html.

    Sorry! I misunderstood completely :-)

I thought you wanted luciddreamgirl.com not to point to luciddreamgirl.com

Default So just to be clear...

If I list my erinemmerson.com site as an add-on to luciddreamgirl.com and then add a blog to it the public will have no way of knowing there's any connection whatsoever to my luciddreamgirl blog site?

... Also, is there any way I could change erinemmerson.com to be my primary domain and have luciddreamgirl and my other domain be add-ons? Or am I stuck with luciddreamgirl as my primary because it's the one I started first?

Thank you for your help on this -- I really appreciate it!

Basically yes. Unless someone guesses that they are related, guesses which is the primary, and then guesses the folder name of the other one (which you can make whatever you like - it doesn't have to be related to the domain) then they can't tel they are related.

You would have to ask support to switch them for you. It doesn't really matter which is your primary domain though unless you are getting rid of that one and still want to continue the hosting with the others.
