Default Whats the best email marketing software

It’s a well know fact that email marketing can be very successful if it is done right. Does anyone know any free email signup software where you can send emails to the members who signed up for your news letter. There are some software are available on Internet, but I want your recommend from your own experience.

    Any input will be helpful.

what you need is mailing list manager. Not necessary 'software' installed in your computer.

From my own experience: for frequent emails and a larger number of subscribers you'll need an email software.

The more emails you have the complicated it becomes to maintain a list. Also there is the huge danger the you forget to send the emails as BBC (blind carbon copy). I did this once and I received many complaints from mailing list members.

    Simple and cheap solution:
    - PC based software
    - Also cheap (sometimes even free): self hosteded at BH. Some forums or CMS systems have this already included.

    Best, but expensive solution:
    - webbased emails delivered by a specialized newsletter provider. Depending on the size of the mailing list it's quite expensive.
Best delivery, very good tracking functions, users can manage their emails by themselves (subscribe/unsubscribe/change address), bounce/unbounce, e.g.

i use aweber or constant contact - both are great for beginners and are widespread in popularity...

Ack summed up the two choices perfectly.

    Adweber or Constant Contact.

Choice depends partially on price versus usage. I equate CC with a Mac (more expensive, but better graphics overall) and Adweber with a PC.

CC also gives you a free account for a charity with each paid subscription, which can be a nice marketing message as well.
