Is there a "preferred" way to say the last 3 letters of a domain extension ORG? I just heard 2 radio stations mention the extension. One said, "DOT ORG" the other said, "DOT O...R...G" any opinions or pitfalls? Thanks.

My life can be summed up in one word, "indescribable".
I've only ever heard 'dot org' used, so it seems the only natural one to me.
And I think people who didn't know would tend towards that, I've never heard anyone say 'dot c... o... m...' for example.
I have heard a few "media-types" (NPR reporters for sure), say "dot awrg"... as in "Deputy Dawg"... must be a southern thing?

I have usually heard "org" pronounced as one word rather than as separate letters. Same with "com." It probably makes no difference so long as people can find the site!![]()

I haven't heard of anyone using "DOT O...R...G" before. But it makes no difference how people pronounce it. "Dot org" is still preferable by many around the world.
I have heard people use the dot..o..r..g before on radio spots for clarity. Usually people just say org...
Hopefully there isn't going to be some kind of etiquette police out there telling us we have to do it one way or the other!![]()
yeah i heared it also as one word "ORG" like "dot com"
for those newbies to internet, "dot o r g" still works the best for themClear & easy to catch.
