Default Site not compressed with gzip

Hey Folks, I need your imput about what I can and should do about this problem. About 90% fo the time or more BH is using compression / deflate / gzip for my site, I have talked to support about this to no end. They tell me when there is enough CPU avaliable it use's gzip, which for my site is like never.
I have asked many questions, like how many sites does BH have on the server with my site? NO ANSWER GIVEN
My site is an e-commerce site and Google says I need speed. Google says my site is slower then 76% of all sites.

As you may or may not know, load speed is now a factor with Google page ranking. So do I have to find a host that uses gzip all the time or what.

I really need your help and advise on this problem.

The criteria BlueHost use for determining when to use gzip is that when using gzip would slow the delivery of your page is when it doesn't get used. They set their processing up so it is smart enough to know when to use and when to not use compression so as to get fastest possible results all the time.

If you find a provider that uses it all the time then your pages will be compressed before being sent with the total time to do both being longer than sending then uncompressed would be.
