    Default Direct URL To File

This may be a dumb question, but where on the ftp can I put a file so I can have a direct link to it? So, if I have a wav file that I want to link to so I can send someone the link, www.mywebsite.com/sounds/funny.wav?

I have tried to save the file everywhere and each time I get the 404 error.

    Am I doing something wrong?

That address would work if you saved the file to the sounds folder inside the public_html folder.

I tried that, but it still does not work. I tried putting it in all sorts of folders. I even tried putting it in the public_html folder just now and still got the 404.

Can it not be done with an mp3?

Make sure that the files you are referencing are in lower case also. Case counts in the world of Linux. The file music.wav is not the same as Music.wav, and the same applies to folder names.
In the Hyperion universe, a farcaster is an instantaneous transportation device.
