    Default Blinking cPanel Demo Icon

    Hey everyone,

I'm thinking of signing up with Bluehost. I went to the cPanel demo and found that in Firefox, both the tab icon and the address bar icon were an animated gif that was constantly switching between black and white.

I'm writing to ask if this is what the icon looks like in production as well. Because, as silly as it may sound, I can't work with those two things constantly blinking >.<. I had to cover them up with my hands on my screen to do the demo!

    Thanks,
    Craig

I just tested this with FF 3.6.10 and did not see the problem that you are describing. Is it possible that you have a local problem? Try clearing your cache, etc and try again. And to answer your other question, the screen that you would access for your account does not have these issues either.

    Thanks for the reply!

It's definitely possible that it's a local problem. I cleared my cache and it didn't change anything. I'm using FF 3.6.10 as well, and it doesn't happen in IE7.

I'll try it at another browser this evening and see if I can see what else might be wrong.

    Default corrupt favicon?

I'm seeing the blinking favicon too. This is in the real cPanel, not the demo. So something is wrong.

You should report it to BlueHost then so they can fix it. Live Chat is probably the best way to tell them.

Seems to be OK now. Anyone else still seeing the blinking?
