    Default Page Wizard frustrations

I've spent two afternoons with page wizard and have one page that looks like a kindergartener made it... All I need are two simple websites. The business templates do not work for me and when I start with a blank page I can't even get the background color to change.
Anybody know any simple way to get an uncomplicated website up? All we need are text, some photos and photo galleries. My free isp page has better template offerings!

Someone at bluehost suggested using a free webbuilder (nvu) but if I put time into learning that, then do I have to go through the headache of learning FTP to get it uploaded?
Bottomline... is there a simple solution? I've got next week off to work on the websites but at this rate, it'll be doomsday before they're done and will look like crap...

I don't use PageWizard, I use Dreamweaver which allows me to do a lot more things. I would use a html program if I was you. I don't know about the free one that Bluehost recommends but if it does the job then go for it. Most of these programs are not to hard to use if you are doing something simple like you said. Just make sure they have a good tutorial and/or forum to help you. Doing ftp is not difficult so I wouldn't worry about that. Here is a link to the BlueHost helpcenter that has info on using and configuring ftp.

Probably the fastest if you do not want to spend a lot of time designing would be ....
    1) Search for free templates and download some and pick one to adapt to what you like. If you check my website at www.churchpower.com under resources, I believe there are links.
    2) Expensive but easy, Buy ShopFactory or some other program which makes it easy.
    3) Some of the blogs offered under Fantastico can be used to create websites and then save them and edit in NVU or 1st Page 2000 [also free].
I know there are also sites if you search Google which let you build a site online and then download it.
Hope I have helped a little.
Also under Fantastico, you will find website templates which you can install and adapt.

Probably a template even if you have to buy one seems like the easiest and fastest because all you have to do is adapt it.

If you have MS office just use publisher. It's simple and you can upload your page to your site. Most of those 3rd world wysiwyg editors suck. You can check out mysite if you want, I did the basic part of it in publisher.
