Default Wordpress- Do i need to add database functionality to add login page & HD System?

Got my site up, purchased a "premiun" theme and configured it. Basic stuff is ther...now, as this is a corporate/business site I want to add:

    1) a login page for our customers

    2) some helpdesk system..users/customers of our software could go to a page, fill out a ticket and then internally we are notified of the ticket/issue. I'm assuming this could be as simple as a modified contact form, but seeking a more robust way to do this with more true help desk options for us once we get the ticket (tracking, status etc)

Do i need to add additional database functionality to do this or i guess what is the easiest yet robust way of doing this? Kinda new to wordpress but i should be able to figure it out with a few pointers..

    thanks!

It sounds like what you need may require plug-ins.

If you go to your dashboard and click the Plugins sidebar link, you can select "Add New" and do a search on "login page" and "helpdesk." I found several with both.

Note that you want to ensure that your plugins have been tested for the most recent WP version. If something has not been tested in recent versions, then there may be unknown security issues. Food for thought as you make your selections.
