Does Bluehost support shockwave files?

I had a graphic designer make a logo for me. I got the logo and it's in a shockwave file. From my hard-drive it loads up and looks great. However when uploaded to the bluehost server, it doesn't load on my page.

My page just keeps showing that it's loading. It's not "x" on the image, but rather you can see the area where the logo should be and it just keeps saying loading.

Any insight?

Only a guess here but did you upload it using binary mode? this is NOT the default BH FTP setting.

I would say try to upload it again making sure binary is set and try again.

How did you upload the file? What FTP program did you use?

I just went to "File Manager" and then went to my www folder and then just did "upload file".

You might consider using an FTP program such as WS_FTP to upload it just to see if it solves the problem.

No, the 'binary' thing only matters on the windows end during an ftp transfer. The straight file upload doesn't even have a 'binary' setting.

There you go... so since BH doesn't make uploads binary, then I would suggest using an FTP program to upload your file.

Again, the post you're talking about only applies to FTP. FTP was not used in this case, so the whole concept of uploading something as binary doesn't apply.

civileng68, Yea so like anyway, like I said, I would try FTP anyway even though rando said that binary isn't the problem.

There may have been something else that went wrong. Try to upload it using an FTP program and lets see what happens. I have flash on my sites and it works fine. But I always use FTP to upload them.
