Are you just trying to get a script to run? I'm not sure I follow what you're saying exactly. if you're just wanting to open the php file you can try pointing yorur browser to http://www.yourdoman.com/file_name_here.php

Bag the php stuff and use Fantastico to install Mambo or Joomla.
