Bluehost servers listed as SPAM SERVERS
Hello,
I'm experiencing a very uncomfortable situation: my company is hosted at Bluehost servers and for the second time, we're unable to send emails to other companies because Bluehost is listed as SPAM SERVERS at SPAMCOP.NET.
Bluehost support says that they're working on it, but the problem's still here.
I think this is very bad for my company - and also should be very bad to Bluehost.
How are you, in other serious companies, dealing with this unpleasing situation?
(See the reply to any email sent to other companies that use SPAMCOP.NET bellow)
Thanks,
Marcos Ackel

Last week was terrible - I couldn't send out email at all without it bouncing, but to make matters worse, it could bounce immediately, or after MANY hours. I have no idea how much of my emails actually made it out. The bounced emails started again today and the online chat support pointed to spamcop's message that said the ip address will be cleared in six hours! Great, so my email service is useless for the next six hours!

Just got bounced by SpamCop sending to alumni.cmu.edu. I was sending less than 200 neighborhood newsletters. I hope BlueHost gets this resolved. I'll need another hosting company if I can't do something as simple as emailing a newsletter!!!

More Bounced Email
More bounced messages today - 3/23/2012. I was told by Bluehost tech support that I should ask my customers to not use spamcop as their spam filter! Very disappointed with the ongoing problems and the fact that they don't seem to be able to do anything about it.

My email bounced today due to being listed as a SPAM source at mail-abuse.com aka TrendMicro MAPS ( http://www.mail-abuse.com/cgi-bin/lo...s=67.222.38.55 ). This is new in the past 2 weeks. I'm going to email Bluehost now to see what can be done.
-
Same thing here, this happened once last week and then today, we started having a lot of email being kicked back with TrendMicro MAPS as the culprit.
Does anyone know, how common this is or if there are host options that can prevent this?

My email also bounced today that was sent to an important client; really makes me look bad when their IT department says we've been blacklisted by TrendMicro and need to fix the problem. First time this has ever happened to me and I'm not happy with the situation. BlueHost says they've been having problems the past 2 days and are working on it.

Hi travellife.
The emails from one of my domains has started to be rejected by spamcop. Bluehost "fixed" it yesterday, but today they are being rejected again. I'm wondering if it's the email format that has initiated the problem. Have you changed/added images/taglines/web site links etc recently.
-
Hi andyv,
Haven't changed a thing in my email signatures or website links. I checked with BlueHost yesterday and the TrendMicro problem hasn't been resolved yet. In the meanwhile I'm using alternative mail servers in order to communicate with my client. Very upsetting since I do like BlueHost but cannot afford to have an important client's emails bouncing due to my email host being blacklisted. This is the explanation I received on Monday from Blue Host:
Hello-
Unfortunately Trend Micro has blocked some of our proxies, so We have contacted Trend Micro Email Reputation Service and requested that the IP address of the mail server be removed from the blacklist. While we're still waiting for a response from Trend Micro Email Reputation Service, when the proxy server is de-listed it can still take 24-48 hours for mail providers to update pull a new list from Trend Micro Email Reputation Service.
We are actively watching the Trend Micro Email Reputation Service list and immediately taking action against any clients that are causing or extending the blacklisting issues. These clients may be asked to find a new web host.
If you need to send your messages immediately, the best solution if you use an email client (such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail) to send email through your Internet service provider. You can contact them for instructions.
Alternatively, you can attempt to resend the mail again later. Once the mail server has been removed from the blacklist, mail providers will begin updating to new lists over time.

SpamCop Blocking
I've been struggling with this for over two weeks and BH tech support acknowledges the problem and say they are working on it. Yesterday I didn't have a single email bounce, but first thing this morning, I have email bouncing. This is absolutely pathetic.
