Default DNS Records: ENOM, GMail and Bluehost

    Hello everyone,
I would like to setup the DNS records for my domain from Enom registrar.
I want to use Gmail but Bluehost just for hosting the web site.
Everything can be done from Bluehost but I need to do it from Enom.

MX records are easy to setup.
Does anyone know what I should put for the web hosting part?

    Thanks
    R

I'm actually not even using bluehosts dns... I've moved my DNS to cloudflare after reading about how even their free service can speed up a website. All my original DNS entries just needed to be pointed to the bluehosts IP address. Cloudflare has a wizard that simplifies changing everything. Have a look in Cpanel and go to the DNS Zone editor. That should help you figure things out. And if you mess it up... you can just reset it quickly to go back from the same place.

    Thanks Nitrocy for your reply,
I cannot "lose" even 1 email as I work indirectly for the Government!
I was able to setup another domain through Bluehost and the process is very easy, but my question was:
how can I do it from Enom and leave Bluehost alone?

    Thanks

I am using gmail myself... I transferred all my bluehost accounts to gmail awhile back. When I moved my DNS from bluehost to cloudfare, their wizard automatically moved everything to use cloudfare's DNS. I think what your asking for is to just configure a A record with your bluehost IP. on Enoms settings

    Hope that helps....

    Yes, you are right.
I just had to use the MX records as Google suggests and just add a A record.
I tried with one of my domains.

On a side note how do you like Gmail?

    Thanks

Excellent and has kept my # of file limit down by not having bluehost host it. Moving everyone away from using BH has proven difficult but it's more because of a logistical thing. Couldn't go and help each one individually and they just switched from BH altogether.
