macromedia dreamweaver
For the type of site you have in your sig I would suggest a CMS. See joomla
I do all of my programming and web editing in textmate.
Textmate is alright...
...but I prefer Textwrangler.
Edit: It should probably be mentioned that both Textmate and Textwrangler are Mac-only.
Edit2: Oh yeah, and Textwrangler is free (pricewise).![]()

Anything is better than Frontpage
(also, Frontpage will be gradually discontinued with the release of their new SharePoint Designer 2007).
My choices are either Bluefish(primarily on my Debian Linux box).. or Notepad++ on my win2000 box. Notepad++ is very much like regular MS Notepad, but with syntax highlighting and alot more advanced features such as Macros, plugins of all kinds(defaults with about 50).. such as HTML Tidy, converters for Hex to Decimal, Decimal to Octal, etc. It's also fully UTF-8, Linux, Mac, Windows compliant (so you can save and retain formatting on other systems.)
take the best of the best, and use Dreameaver. It comes bundled with a html text editor called Homesite. It rocks. Dreamweaver is good for designing, Homesite is good for hand coding.
I love Flash and Dreamweaver but those are the only major 2 i used beside the simple web designer yahoo had. But i totally dont know how to script i just the text to help makr the stoping script while i doing the reast like picture and movement myself i never could get my head around scripting and with these 2 progarm i did not have a hard time but i am going trying to learn Adobe golive. so that i might ge more knowledge from that progarm the more you know the better off you are is what i think.![]()
I'm a long-time Dreamweaver user on OS X.
I manage so many websites, I'm sort of hooked on the site management and easy FTP updating (with warnings that I'm overwriting something that's changed on the server).
As an editor, it's just nice.
I do wish that it wasn't so bloated. I hand-code everything and just don't need all the bells and whistles.
>> TextMate
Yeah, I bought it. I was all hopped up on Ruby on Rails when I pulled out my credit card. It's ok, and I use it, but it's just not quite there for me.
>> TextWrangler
I never knew it existed. I've nearly sprung for the big BBEdit price tag a dozen times, but always backed away, again, I just don't need all the features.
Thanks MacGuyver2 (oh, I think I understand your mac-nick now), I've been using TextWrangler for less than a day now and I think I'm in love. TextWrangler, you've been hiding from me you naughty little minx.![]()
