    Post ftp speeds

Hi, just wondering why sometimes my download speeds vary from top speed 2 meg to sometimes walking backwards at 30 kbps?

I also noticed at the same time i was number 16 out of 50 connected to my site????
There are only 7 people that have access, so how can that be??
All were experiencing the same poor or eratic speeds too. I am in London a couple are stateside and 1 in France....

Would this also hinder me when i start podcasting from my site??

I know that engineering has recently been experiencing some difficulties with their bandwidth provider so that may be related. But I would open a ticket with support just to let them make sure everything is ok with your server just to make sure.

Have you checked the connections in CPanel?

You can see who else is FTPing to your site, and you can cut their connection.

Some FTP programs can open more than one connection at a time. This may be the cause of your 'more connections than users' thing.
