Thread: Content length error

    Default Content length error

I'm trying to import posts and comments into wordpress. my xml/wxr file is about 14m. I get this error:

[01-May-2007 10:23:54] PHP Warning: POST Content-Length of 14290079 bytes exceeds the limit of 8388608 bytes in Unknown on line 0
I've tried modifying the php.ini, as suggested on the wordpress forum. The changes are not helping. They suggested restarting apache.

    Any help?

if you edit the php.ini file, it then will need to be in EVERY directory that uses PHP. Have you tried that yet?

You mean if I need to edit the php.ini, I have to edit every subdirectory that has one? So if I had a dozen subdirectories, I'd have 13 php.ini files to edit before the edit worked?

I saw that notice in the file, but I guess I didn't understand what it meant (still don't, obviously).

Alright. I've changed every php.ini I can find. And I'm still getting the same error.

I've been working on this all morning. I'm exhausted. Any help? Should I file a ticket?
