    Default Quicktime Error in MSIE

I am using IE 6.0 and am having trouble with websites that have Quicktime video links. When I click on the the QT link, I get two subsequent error message boxes. The first one states "An error occurred inside a plug-in contained on this page." The second one states " THe plugin did not initialize properly." I then have the option of sending an error report to Microsoft. My browser then closes. I am using QT version 7.1.6. I have uninstalled and reinstalled QT one time. I thought this solved my problem, but as soon as I closed the browser and reopened it, the problem came back. I hope someone can help me. Thanks, John

You may want to upgrade to IE7. IE6 is outdated and has very limited websupport for many features. If upgrading doesn't fix it then you have some other conflict going on.

I'll second darkangel's view that you should definitely upgrade to IE7. Even though its got its fair share of issues, but then its miles ahead in security and stability from IE6.
