I'm using WordPress, so I realize Bluehost won't provide support for WordPress, but others might be having similar problems with or without it.
When you post a comment on the site it should send me an email. There's also an email form on the site which worked last week and doesn't know. I'm not receiving any email. Now I know with email it might be a problem on my end, but I'm receiving other email, so I wonder if it's a problem with the server sending the mail? Same issues, only I'm using a regular email account. Delayed for hours.

Thanks for the response. I haven't seen ANY of the emails, even after hours of waiting, so it's a question of whether it's working but delayed, or not working at all.

Well like I said mine seem to be getting out but some have been more than 2 hours delayed. Do these guys have any kind of status screen?

Does Bluehost monitor this site? Can someone give us a status, cause and expect fix time.

There was a major spammer that hit our system with multiple fraudulent accounts and flooded a lot of email into the queues before he was stopped. We then cleaned out the queues (deleted the spam), but by then the queues were quite behind.
After that, the new emails were going through, but all emails that were sent during the spike had to run from the queue and took several hours to flush Priority in a case like that is currnet live email is sent as fast as it can with the queues flushing as they can. This is how most major MTAs work so that they do not continue to get behind. Since the system should have been able to handle a spike like that faster than it did, we now have anouther (new) outgoing mail server online.
