Default Exim and Exim-26 Failed

Box 88 has a exim and exim-26 failed errors in control panel on my end.

Does it look like exim is running to anyone here on the forum. Notice the time on the screen shots. It is almost eleven at night my time.

Has anyone else had any similar problems. Does anyone have any ideas on what the heck is going on?

I am running the same soft ware on two other Bluehost servers without any problems. I have had the same softeware installed on two different Ipower web servers with no problem. I have the software installed on a server with eDataRack with no problems. The software is Project Beehive Software.

Apparently the problems has been going on for a couple of days as mentioned by one of my forum members.

Bluehost tech support claims exim is running on their end.

With exim not working I cannot send email notifications out from my forum which makes the forum worthless to me and my forum members.

No such failure with exim on our box, but will keep an eye out for it.

[Aside:]
Looks like you're running Fedora Core 4/Firefox?

How do you like it so far?

Cpanel still shows exim as failed. Thanks for the feedback. What box are you on?

I am running Debian. The browser in the screenshot is Galeon. I also have SeaMonkey and Gimp running in KDE 3.5.1. On another PC I have Fedora Core 5 Test 3. Most of the bugs are woked out of Fedora Core 5 which is scheduled for a release at the end of this month. Fedora Core 5 will be a good release. I like both Debian and Fedora.

I have a bunch of helpful links for Linux if you are interested. My friend is running a forum called Newbies Linux if you want to stop by some day and check it out..

Just for grins I installed the software again on Box 70 under crazypenguin.us and imported the database from alienchaos.com from box 88 and what do you know it all works fine on box 70.

I suppose I might do the same on box 67 under kernelpanics.com just for a test.

The latest exim and exim-26 failed errors on box 88 under alienchaos.com.

Exim still dead.

I guess while I am waiting for the problem to be fixed I can do a bit of window shopping on the internet for a reliable hosting provider.

It has been well over 24 hours from contacting Bluehost tech support and exim is still dead.

Is anyone else having problems like this with Bluehost?

Er, exim is down? does it still show up as down? I just logged in and tested like so:

Code:

Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.

That's something that should normally have been fixed immediately if it happens, and I apologize it was down for so long. I'm not in over the weekends, so I wasn't keeping an eye on it.

The control panel shows exim up and the forum is able to send email notifications.

http://www.crazypenguin.us/images/alienchaos15.png

The email notification problem had been going on for several days before I put in a ticket to Bluehost's tech support as stated by my forum members. (look at my first post in this thread)

This is the second time I have had a major problem with Bluehost. The first problem was with kernelpanics.com dealing with the sql and httpd servers not working the way they should. And at both times the problems were during the roll out of my web sites, when everyone creates a first impression of each site. I was going to cancel my account with Bluehost (during the money back guarantee period) with the first problem but the tech support individual insured me it was not the norm with Bluehost. Now with the latest problem of alienchaos.com, I must question why the service is so unreliable?

At this time I am highly displeased with the service Bluehost has provided.
